E.J. Rabell, Jr., was born in Miami and raised in Gainesville, Florida, before moving to Charlotte with Laura and their dog, Rusty, in 2006. His father was born in Cuba, and his mother is a native Floridian.

Laura Rabell
Chief Creativity Officer

Laura’s family roots run deep in the Carolinas, where her mother grew up in a textile mill town and her father played basketball for Davidson College. After growing up in Pensacola, Florida, she moved to Charlotte with her husband E.J. in 2006. With a marketing and client services background in fields such as healthcare consulting and financial services, Laura found a niche in helping small business owners with business development through digital marketing.

She began freelancing for clients as far back as 2009, helping with everything from brochure design to book editing. Eventually, her interest in technology led to the discovery of WordPress and an affinity for web site design. The field of web design brings together Laura’s skills in communications, editing, graphic arts, and marketing all in one package.

Before moving to Charlotte, Laura graduated with honors from the University of West Florida in Pensacola, earning a degree in Interdisciplinary Humanities, focused on Communication Arts, Arts and English.

Laura stays active in the local community through various activities, including:

  • Co-Chair, Great Gatsby Gala benefitting the MS Society
  • Board Member, MS Movers & Shakers
  • Volunteer, The Relatives of Alexander Youth Network
  • FiA Participant (Spider)
  • Past Community Development Chair, Charlotte Junior Chamber Board of Directors
  • Past Chicago Marathon Charity Runner, Hope Worldwide
  • Past Classroom Mentor, Thompson Child & Family Focus
  • Past Event Chairperson, Relay for Life of Mecklenburg County

The Greater Carolinas Chapter of the National MS Society are truly grateful not just for our website, but also for their strong community minded spirit and the heart they put into all of their projects.

Carol Roth, Director of Development

Laura and E.J. were wonderful to work with. They really listened to what we envisioned for our non-profit organization’s new websites and produced just what we were looking for. They were attentive, responsive, and creative, and took a personal interest in our non-profit and in what we were trying to accomplish in our community. We highly recommend them.

When we decided to create a company newsletter, we didn’t know exactly how to put together a professional publication or where to look for help. Fortunately, a business associate suggested Rabell Creative. Laura Rabell and her company have been a fantastic partner in this endeavor and have not only met but exceeded our expectations.

Don Hawley, Colonial Materials, Inc.

Patiently, E.J. & Laura tutored us in order to put the plan they created into action. They continue to provide the support needed to keep it going and to be successful. Now that we are combining Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn & Instagram, with just a few posts we are soaring to a 'reach' of 14,000 – the audience has found us!

The team at Rabell Creative are true professionals who understand the heavily regulated financial services industry. I don't make any decisions regarding social media activation without running it by them first.
